In this role, I simultaneously utilize my background in both IT and cognitive science. This position serves to provide technical support, both internally and for our software users. I have gained numerous competencies in this position, including hard knowledge of computational frameworks, hardware/software integrations, and research design, but also the softer knowledge of a client-facing position, such as technical communication, leadership, and time-management skills.

As a student assistant in the product specialist team, I worked with a wide range of biosensors, including Eye-Trackers, Galvanic Skin Response devices, Facial Expression Analysis, VR, EEG devices, and Heart-Rate monitors. In this position, I used my knowledge of cognitive science and computer science to create demo studies and use-case studies, and I evaluated and supported research & development for our software product and its integration of those aforementioned biosensors.

-My work involved using eye-tracking devices to ultimately evaluate learning and memory processes by testing visual recognition of objects and faces-I evaluated the connections between reward learning and dopamine levels in infants, as indicated by eye gaze (selective attention) and spontaneous eyeblink rates, respectively -I utilized programs such as DataVyu, SPSS, and Excel to process and evaluate data

As a scholar, I completed a portfolio addressing the 5 engineering grand challenges as established by the National Academy of Engineering. I chose to specifically focus on Advancing Personalized Learning, and as such, I developed and spear-headed a design-thinking workshop as part of my University's local STEM Outreach Program. I now currently stand as an alumnus of the program.
