About Emile Gauthier
I am a creative marketer, producer and entrepreneur with an extensive experience working on international brands in the video game and entertainment industry, for more than 17 years. I'm actually working as a Director of Communication & Marketing at Squeeze Animation Studio where I oversee communication and marketing initiatives. I also worked at Ubisoft for 14 years, working in PR, digital marketing, community development and business units, in Quebec City, Montreal and San Francisco.In March 2017, with my partner Sébastien Lévesque, we launched the Distorsion podcast, about strange stories from the digital age, that peaked as the #1 french podcast in Canada in November 2017, and became one of the most successful french podcasts. Our book of the same name, was released in Feb 2019 by Les Editions de l'Homme in Canada and by Hachette in Europe, certified "best seller". In Fall 2019, Distorsion the TV show, produced by Trinome & Filles and Quebecor Contenu, was released and then sold in more than 60 countries. In 2019, Distorsion was selected by Apple among their Best podcasts of the Year and it was also included in 4 major campaigns by Spotify Canada.For 6 years (2012 to 2018) I have been a member of the Board of Directors of Envol et Macadam, a music festival happening in Quebec City since more than 20 years now. I am also a recording artist, DJ and music producer, having released a few records and performed at many events. I have a big passion for photography, documentaries, coffee and motorcycles.
