Manager Of Library Services
Serves students, staff, faculty, and community members at both campuses in a timely, warm, and professional manner. Maintains patron privacy and right to access materials without censorship.Serves as Chatfield College's Honor Society Coordinator - Julia Chatfield Honor Society Advisor & St. Martin Phi Theta Kappa Advisor. Identifies students eligible for honor societies, encourages student participation, plans and hosts the spring Induction Ceremonies at both campuses. Maintains day-to-day operations of library services including processing holds and cargo shipments, cataloging materials, repairing and weeding items in the collection, providing reference assistance to student and faculty. Supervises students workers, develops employee work schedule, heads monthly library staff meeting. Collaborates with instructors to further curriculum goals and advance personal academic and professional research. Instructs students on research methods and digital literacy through both Cornerstone class presentations and individualized sessions. Instructs students and faculty on the use of the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) online catalog and the Ohio Digital Library, along with various databases including EBSCO. Develops programming that aligns with the college mission and academic goals - this includes workshops, speaker panels, and community teas. Maintains accurate reporting data on programming and services offered by the library and collaborates with the Department of Assesment to ensure the library is furthering the goals and objectives of the College's strategic plan. Provides data for budgeting and grant proposals. Maintains the Library Schoology page and social media presence (Instagram).Represents the library and honor societies at college orientations and open houses. Assists in the development and collection of student graduation essays. As a team member, hosts the graduation reception. Assists with other college events as needed.
