During the waste management crisis in Naples of 2011 that saw tons of uncollected garbage fill the streets of Naples, I created a movement called "CleaNap" to encourage Neapolitans to take personal initiative: using facebook, we were able to gather hundreds of people to promote the cause in just a few short days. Cleanap is currently a Third Sector organization regularly registered in Italy that educates citizens about sustainability and encourage local institutions to promote innovation and social change in order to achieve a greener future for our city.For the association, as a volunteer, my main duties are:• Responsible for Communications and relations with the media and local press• Social media expert and content creator: I create, post and manage content across social platforms; implement promotions and engagement campaigns, conduct proactive and reactive outreach to communities • Design and plan awareness and advocacy campaigns to promote sustainability and influence local policy stakeholders.

Imy primary focus has been on engaging and activating communities within my region to ensure their active participation in policy and advocacy campaigns. As Community Organizer my role involved assisting host communities in establishing neighborhood groups to advocate for their right to share their homes. You were responsible for organizing and leading meetings and events for hosts and supporters of homesharing, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Additionally, you played a key role in identifying supporters of home sharing and potential partners in neighborhoods and cities to expand the reach and impact of advocacy efforts. In this position, you worked closely with a variety of online tools to streamline communication and engagement with community members. Your responsibilities also included entering data into relevant systems to track progress, measure impact, and inform strategic decision-making. This role offered a unique opportunity to empower host communities, build strong partnerships, and drive positive change in the homesharing landscape.
