My interest in Journalism started when I was 14, watching Korrespondenterna on Swedish Public Television (SVT). Korrespondenterna means “Correspondents,” and in the 30 min, ad-free episodes, the viewers followed international correspondents around the world. I was fascinated with how these journalists could travel to places no one else could enter, all because of their press pass. They had the license to talk to strangers across the globe, and they served as a vessel for the greater story at hand. I moved to the US in 2015 to study political science and pursue a career in journalism. Today I incorporate this type of storytelling into producing podcasts, being a correspondent, and editing stories.I am looking for new opportunities where I can build upon this skillset in more long-form storytelling.
