My main responsibility was Accenture's internship recruitment in Finland to all Accenture's organizational units. Therefore, I've had the possibility to further my knowledge in recruitment to include both tech roles, strategy and consulting roles as well as creative and design roles. I was also the primary recruiter for a newly established (fall 2022) Tech Talent Program (junior consultants). In addition to the internship recruitment I recruited more experienced hires to Accenture's Strategy & Consulting unit on the Nordic level. After joining Accenture I developed the internship and junior consultant recruitment processes to be more straightforward and approachable for both hiring managers and candidates. One of the cornerstones of the work was to provide an enjoyable candidate experience and maintain the high standard of Accenture's employer branding. I was also responsible for some parts of the interns' internship experience and I organized events three times a year for the interns.

Due to Covid-19 and the recruitment freeze of the organization, I was unable to continue my work at Neste straight after the summer. However, at the end of the year I was hired to help execute the major organizational change we were preparing for during the summer. I helped with, for example, employment contracts and other administrative work.

I worked in this position both part time during spring as well as full time during summer. As I worked in the same position during the previous summer, I quickly caught up with the work and was able to flexibly combine it with my studies. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the work was mostly remote and the emphasis was more on HR analytics (as supposed to e.g. recruiting or onboarding). Additionally, the organization introduced a new working time management system which required considerable amount of user training and support. Simultaneously, I was helping to prepare for another major organizational change that was to take place at the end of the year. In addition, as my own self-imposed project that I initiated, I developed the recruitment and onboarding processes to better cater to applicants as well as to improve the employer branding and employee value proposition.

My job description at Psycon included assisting consultants in planing, executing and reporting personnel assessments. As an assistant I was in charge of organizing the assessment days, giving instructions to the customers as well as observing. I got to learn more deeply about recruitment by learning about the different factors that influence a good recruitment decision.

As a summer HR Specialist at Neste, I worked closely with management supporting them in daily HR activities. My daily tasks included employee life cycle management, helping managers execute recruitment processes from start to finish, generating HR analytics reports and several other HR tasks. Additionally, I organized events for the personnel in cooperation with other summer trainees and acted as a substitute for both my own manager and my colleague during their summer vacations.
