My roles include assisting as a demonstrator in laboratory tutorials for first and second year modules, co-operating with staff to plan tutorial sessions, overseeing students using the lab. Additionally, I took part in University Open Days and Applicant Visit Days where I would talk to prospective students and give tours of the University's facilities.

Birmingham City Sessions was set up by students who wanted to gain experience using the TV Studios at the university. As a group, we created as live music videos for bands with the opportunity for trying new skills. Things learnt include, operating a vision mixing desk, operating a standard TV camera, using a Studer Vista broadcast desk and artist liaison. As the Vice President, I co-ordinated with my peers to schedule the sessions, sorted out equipment to be used, checked equipment before the session took place and liaised with bands who wanted a session to be recorded.
