• Responsible for the identification and cost effective disposal of Obsolete and Slow Moving Inventory• Develop and report on an appropriate set of departmental KPIs for all aspects of Inventory Management of Purchased Parts• Investigate and root cause “as appropriate” any product stock outs • Manage the subcontract process, including supplier selection, for all products / services • develop and lead cross functional teams in a project environment• Develop and implement a series of discrete purchasing strategies that have a clear and timely set of deliverables and communicate them both internally and externally.• Maintaining and improving cost effective inventory levels for the assigned categories managing the tension between ensuring continuity of supply against stock holding costs.• Review and analyse MRP generated requisitions • Generate purchase orders from MRP requisitions • Process Request For Quotations (RFQ’s) for internal customers• Raise discrete purchase orders and advise on lead time, aligned with customer expectations• Effective management of any rejected parts, liaising with internal departments and Suppliers to ensure that timely delivery of replacements is achieved and all associated costs are recovered.
