Founder of the DIPSOC Journal of Politics and International Relations & Editor in Chief

The Sydney University Diplomats Society promotes interest in international relations, current affairs and global diplomacy in a supportive and diverse environment. Through my role as Publications Officer, I hope to create an inaugural International Affairs magazine on the USyd Campus, showcasing the diverse analyses of modern international relations as written by students.

Supported by a Strategic Policy Grant from the Department of Defence, the program will train and support young women to publish in and contribute to Australia’s strategic debate. Over the next two years, the program will support the publication of over 40 opinion articles and 10 policy papers - all authored by women under the age of 35.

Young Diplomats Society is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation whose aim is to strengthen the community of young people (18 - 35 years old) interested in global affairs. I am an editor at YDS, responsible for editing a range of articles with a regional or topical focus.

•Support in the development of training materials and the delivery of training to staff within AAA and program partners on SHEA, child protection, counter terrorism and due diligence reporting requirements. •Undertake, analyse and report on an annual assessment of partner compliance with AAA’s Child Protection and Counter-Terrorism Policies in collaboration with program staff.•Support on ensuring action plans and risk management strategies are put in place to address any compliance gaps in collaboration with program and finance staff.•Support in the coordination of the annual review of AAA’s Child Protection and Counter-Terrorism Policies to ensure alignment with DFAT and ACFID Code of Conduct expectations.

The Future Leaders Series is YAIA's flagship competitive program designed to engage Australia's future leaders in the critical issues affecting Australia, the Indo-Pacific region and the international system. The 2024 Future Leaders Series theme is Gender in Indo Pacific Politics. As part of the FLS series, I co-wrote a policy revising the Australia-Tuvalu Falepili Union to be gender and youth inclusive.

Penned an extended policy brief on a proposed national legislative framework for the implementation of Restorative Justice measures in cases of Sexual Violence, and the human rights implications. We have collaborated with Open Circle and Transforming Justice Australia throughout this project. The final report was published by the Australian Law Reform Commission in August 2024.

I was 1 of 16 Young Australians chosen to represent United Nations Youth Australia on a 3 week delegation to the Middle East (Jordan & Palestine) where we learnt about the region through consultancies, and meetings with human rights organisations, diplomats, and other stakeholders.
