I am responsible for GWI's coverage of Sustainable Development finance (water and sanitation are goal 6 on the Sustainable Development Goals agenda - SDG6) and climate finance (SDG13), with a special oversight of Africa and Latin America.

I work as a freelance journalist in London and regularly travel to cover stories. As well as feature and news writing, I also do market intelligence reports, copywriting and translantion work.

The magazine specialises in news from charities and social enterprise. I wrote news stories for the web and the magazine as well as features. I also commissioned a specialist page on law and governance.

I started working on this global business and management monthly four months before the launch (Apr 06) and helped develop the publication. My job involved feature writing (with a particular focus on CSR, the environment and emerging markets) and section editing. I was the books editor (3 in-depth reviews per issue) and wrote a regular column on business.

I was the European winner of the 2004 Nico Colchester Fellowship. During my three-month internship at the foreign desk, I wrote stories on a variety of topics from the Maoist rebellion in Nepal to the locust plague in West Africa.

7-month placement in Nepal. Work on environmental awareness, health and sanitation issues in remote villages. The charity provided skills and language training.
