Little Dipper embraces and connects Artists, Designers, and Makers by crowdsourcing design and crowdfunding production. Our business launched August 31, 2015 with a Kickstarter campaign! We got 33% of our funding goal in the first 24 hours; we reached our entire funding goal with 10 days to spare.

The Monopoly Re-Design was an excellent introduction to: concept & theme development, color palettes, iconography, typographic skills, visual hierarchy and structure within grid.• Life of Cities Composition | Explore the concept of a city’s life; what does the birth, golden age & death of a city look like? Using composite imagery & Photoshop skills, tell the story of a city. One especially valuable aspect to design teaching both was the intensive Art Directing. My classrooms had typically 15-20 students, all who needed (and desired) feedback on their projects. As a Visual Design teacher, I felt like I was in Art Director Boot Camp. I helped 1,000+ students develop their individual aesthetic, improve their work and be better designers. Fundamentally, my role at AAU was a Graduate & Undergraduate Instructor working for the WNM Department (Web Design & New Media). As a teacher, I believed in treating my students with compassion but also set clear objectives & consequences. Learning to do this well took some time, but I embraced the ability to be both appreciated and effective in the classroom.
