• Serve as Managing Editor of Liver Transplantation, Managing Editor of Clinical Liver Disease, and Assistant Managing Editor of HEPATOLOGY• Serve as backup to Director of Publications• Manage Editorial Assistants, providing regular feedback, assigning tasks, and fostering collaboration among team• Spot organizational inefficiencies and quickly identify solutions to those challenges• Manage and refine the journal(s’) peer review practices, communicates with authors, editors, and reviewers. Maintain peer review system knowledge to be an in-house ScholarOne expert. Monitor and present industry trends, including trends in peer review and ensure incorporation of best practices in the review process and policies.• Provide leadership and guidance to the editorial office staff, serves as backup to the other AASLD Managing Editors• Collaborate with the Editor(s)-in-Chief, Editorial Boards, and third-party vendors to develop and execute strategic initiatives and to reinforce the journal brands.• Manage and implement all components of editorial team transitions, with support from the Director of Publications• Work closely with publisher production staff to confirm adherence to production schedule and ensure timely publication of all issues and other materials

• Serve as Managing Editor of Liver Transplantation and Assistant Managing Editor of HEPATOLOGY• Serve as backup to Managing Editor of Hepatology• Manage Liver Transplantation's Editorial Assistant, providing regular feedback and assigning tasks as needed• Ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner• Process invoices• Maintain and adapt author guidelines• Contributes expertise to the development of the finance and administration budget • Manages the organization’s resources within budget parameters

• Upload and process all manuscripts submitted to HEPATOLOGY, Hepatology Communications, Liver Transplantation, and Clinical Liver Disease• Serve as primary point of contact for authors, editorial teams, and publication staff• Work hand in hand with Editors in Chief of both Clinical Liver Disease and Hepatology Communications to ensure quick review process and timely publication• Request necessary reprint permissions• Run monthly and quarterly reports to measure journal impact factor• Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate author interviews at biannual meetings• Fill in for Publications Coordinator and Managing Editors as needed
