My Interest in Chemistry stems from growing up in a Colombian Mining town.As a first year undergraduate, I feel passionate about the Green Chemistry field, but also it excites me the idea of marketing and selling a sustainable final product which was what led me to Chemical Engineering.Along the years I have developed my knowledge and experience in pure Chemistry and thanks to my hard work I achieved an exceptional copper award in Cambridge C3L6 challenge in 2022.In the same way, Maths continues to play a big role in my daily basis as it provides me with the skills of complex problem solving and critical thinking. In the last couple of years my determination led to achieve two consecutive bronze awards in UKMT 2022-2023.Economics is also one of my major interest, therefore I became the leader of young enterprise in Wycliffe college, where along with colleagues we made a sustainable final product and I acquired experience in different roles of a small business and the importance of judgement and decision making, creativity and teamwork skills.As deputy head of School, All-rounded Scholar and Leader of the Round Square project, I continued to strengthen my leadership and communication skills, even going international with a partnership with Trivandrum School in India.Currently living in Edinburgh and working part time as Brand Ambassador at Luckenbooths along with my studies.
