Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the day-to-day operations of the organization’s walking and biking safety programs. As such, this position assumes control, management, and accountability of the program’s success, including financial management, staff supervision, curriculum development, staff training, program delivery, and grant reporting. Responsibilities also include contributing to the organization’s policies and procedures, fundraising efforts, communications, and upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and guiding principles.

Oversee all aspects of the campaign to elect candidate for Kern County Fourth Supervisorial District. Assist with the development of policy positions, voter engagement plan, advertising and media presence. Develop and monitor a campaign budget including fundraising and compliance reporting

Advised undergraduate members of the Student Initiated Outreach Committee on funding allocations, evaluations and advocacy for student programming designated for outreach to educationally disadvantaged students in grades K-14. Supervised seven full-time project coordinators in the Student Initiated Outreach Center, ensuring compliance of projects stated outreach goals and objectives to increase the application and admission rates of American Indians, African Americans, Latinx, Pilipino, South East Asian, Pacific Islander, Undocumented, and LGBTQ+ students. Served as departmental representative to the UCLA UndocuAlly committee, providing recommendations to the UCLA Advisory Council on Immigration Policy regarding strategies and campus wide support services for undocumented students. Developed annual training programs for seven full-time project coordinators and all undergraduate student staff in project management, funding proposal writing, program evaluation, admissions requirements, campaign development, referrals and university policies and procedures. Developed annual reports on the program activities, partnerships, and accomplishments of Student Initiated Programs in accordance with Student Academic Preparation and Educational Partnerships (SAPEP). Co-developed weekly leadership training sessions on organizing strategies and community engagement for diverse group of thirty undergraduate interns. Facilitated workshops at annual conferences and departmental trainings and retreats.

Advised undergraduate members of the Community Programs Office Student Association on volunteer services that provide educational and medical services to underserved communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Counseled individual students on academic goals and strategies for balancing extracurricular volunteer activities. Worked collaboratively, as vice chair, with members of the UCLA Basic Needs Campus-wide Committee with identifying and funding $75,000 in efforts addressing student access to basic needs as part of the UC Global Food Initiative. Attended annual Student Affairs Emergency Preparedness meetings and facilitated evacuation drills, and instructions on emergency protocols for staff as the Department Contact Zone Coordinator. Assisted with Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) proposals to the Chancellor to expand departmental resources and student services. Served as interim supervisor for full-time project coordinators in the Student Initiated Outreach Center and the Student Retention Center in the absence of other advisors.
