I am a current MBA Candidate at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. My interests include venture capital, strategy, and impact investing. Outside of Booth, I work full-time in consulting and sit on the auxiliary board of the National Museum of Mexican Art.Currently, at Serafin, I advise businesses on topics from marketing, to crisis communications, to public affairs and strategy, direct stakeholder relationships and CSR campaigns, manage media relations and earned media strategy, implement public relations campaigns and conduct communications trainings for corporate and nonprofit teams. Concurrently, I am a MBA Venture Capital Fellow at Angeles Ventures where I work on sourcing, due diligence and soup to nuts writing of deal memos (including market research and financial modeling). As the former president of Mecha, the nation's oldest and largest student-lead Latinx civil rights organization, I've had the opportunity to facilitate national meetings of 2000+ on creating a more inclusive and impactful organization, as well as be a representative to national press. I've organized art festivals, college access conferences, rallies and direct actions for causes near to my heart, and enjoy digital photography. At the University of Chicago, I studied Anthropology and Gender and Sexuality Studies. My thesis was on Mexican street gangs in the Chicagoland area and was awarded most distinguished bachelors paper in my field. Through the Mellon-Mays Undergraduate Fellowship I've developed a strong qualitative research background that has helped me develop a unique perspective that I bring to my professional career.
