My name is Emilio Paredes and I am a business graduate from Grand Canyon University. I graduated in June of 2022 with a degree in business administration with an overall GPA of 3.13. Ever since I was young, I have always had a passion for technology and computers. Being able to grow up around technology has inspired me to pursue a career in IT. Recently, I was given the opportunity to volunteer my time and services to the IT department at a non-profit organization. I started in January of this year and I currently still volunteer my time here. In my time volunteering within the IT department, I have managed to:-Successfully connect 50 Cat6 ethernet cables from patch panel into 48 port Cisco switch. - Successfully Install and deploy 100+ Dell Optiplex 7090s for clients.- Successfully use Macrium Reflect on 100+ desktops.- Successfully configure and Image over 100+ desktops using Macrium Reflect.- Successfully create image for Dell Latitude 5530 from scratch. - Successfully communicate with different sectors of the company discussing deployment of IT equipment. Including uninstalls, and installs of software relevant to said sector.- Joined 50 newly installed computer lab desktops to company domain- Installed anti-virus software "ESET" to new computer lab desktops via domain controller.- Installed remote monitoring software known as Kaseya VSA to new desktops via domain controller.-Successfully recover lost local user accounts (forgot passwords) on windows 11. Troubleshooting via cmd.The more that I volunteer my time in IT, the more my willingness to grow and learn in the field increases. I am currently pursuing a certification in CompTIA A+ to further my knowledge and understanding of situations that I encounter in the field.
