Weaving with social fabric is like bringing the ballet to the factories. It’s the meshwork of emotion, unexpectedly finding beauty in the everyday threads of human connection. My passion is working with complex social challenges - big and small. I am a trained facilitator and researcher that works with systemic approaches. I practice and consult on the kind of leadership needed to mobilise progress on tough challenges.

ResearcherSomali Arts Foundation (Saf) Mar 2023 - May 2023Nairobi, Kenya (Mogadishu, Somalia)Somali Arts Foundation (SAF) sees art as a means to examine the environment, to critically engage with it, question and challenge it, and, contemporary art in particular as an inquiry into our present day-to-day life, in its multifaceted way. SAF believes art is an essential piece to building the peaceful and prosperous future we want, and that peacebuilding has to include a critical interrogation of Somalia’s recent traumatic past, its tumultuous present, and the resources to carve out spaces to re-imagine better futures.Art in its purest form gives breath to life in a non-judgemental manner while lending legitimacy to diversity. By design, their main stakeholders are the young people and women of Somalia, whom they consider to be the future and whom they recognise have traditionally been left out of the public discourse and leadership. I lived in Nairobi and worked with Sagal Ali, The Founder and Director of SAF, who was staying in the city at the time. We had multiple sessions together broadening our understanding of SAF's past and its future, engaging with creative tools and frameworks designed to build and bring perspective to her leadership capacities, and co-creating concepts for future projects. Ultimately, my work was all about supporting her on her journey to create an arts sector in Somalia.Throughout my time with SAF, I got a unique insight into the reality in Somalia as I conducted online interviews with young creatives in Mogadishu. My research centered around the question: “How can Contemporary Art foster peace in a post-conflict situation?” I watched this complex web of personalities, relationships, beliefs, dreams, work ethics, and practices unfold. I explored how SAF is fostering systems change in Somalia by creating alternative spaces and bringing in unheard voices.➤ Associated with Kaospilot.

Experience DesignerKosmica Institute Sep 2022 - Nov 2022Berlin, GermanyMasterclass in Space & ArtImmersive experience: In Loving Memory of EarthIn Loving Memory of Earth is an immersive experience in honor of our home planet. We gather to remember the sweetness of what once was. The smell of rain in the air, the warm kisses of the sun, the soothing sound of leaves falling, and the sight of sleeping snow. It is an exploration of the lost relationship between mother Earth and her children. The evening will bring us all together; storytellers, futurists, artists, and stargazers alike. We welcome you into a future, where Earth is no more. Motherless, humanity has settled amongst the stars on strange and pale planets. We mark the passing of the 10th year since we last set foot on our dear home planet, Earth. This evening will not only be a remembrance of what we have lost, but also a celebration of what is to come.➤ Associated with Kaospilot. -
U17 AnalystF.C. København Jul 2020 - Jun 2021Copenhagen, Capital Region, DenmarkWhen I joined the club they had recently created an analysis department as part of their ambitious youth setup. I had to define my own role as an analyst and figure out when and where my points of impact would arise - where could I facilitate data analysis through-out the whole decision making process? I was assigned as part of the coaching staff of the U17-team where I balanced between short term match focused tactical analysis and long term data-specific projects. I aimed to improve the coaches decision making and behaviour. I did this by generating and analysing data about the team as a collective and on the individual players to drive performance and development. I utilised my close relationship with the coaches to ensure that I delivered specific and relevant information (Business Intelligence). To optimise their decision-making, I focused on clear visualisation. From my time at FC Copenhagen I want to highlight a few elements of inspiration: the lens of a tactical mastermind head coach applied when observing and discussing the beautiful game, the fingerspietzengefühl (instinctive finger tips feel / tacit knowledge) of a former professional player applied when coaching attackers and running different offensive drills, and the emotional moment when a +10-year loyal servant of the club announced his departure to New York relocating with wife and kids to pursue an opportunity overseas.
