I joined the BDC as the Summer Events Intern and was invited to stay full-time after about a month working with the company. I worked with a team to oversee the planning and execution of our 2 large events for the year. These include our Route 66 Car Show which attracted around 35,000 people, and our Oktoberfest event which spanned 2 days and attracted around 15,000 people. I was also one of the main coordinators for Berwyn's small business incubator space, the Berwyn Shops. I worked closely with a small team to coordinate a series of 4 larger community events, around 20 smaller events, including events with non-profits and small businesses, as well as being responsible for creating 4-5 social media posts each week spotlighting these events throughout the summer and fall of 2022.

In this role I coordinated a 400 person event including volunteers, counselors, scouts, and their parents where BSA members could continue to work through the scouting program by earning 1 or 2 merit badges throughout the course of the day. My tasks included budgeting, booking venues, event marketing, coordinating meals, planning the itinerary, as well as fulfilling day-of-coordinator responsibilities.

I prepared food-to-order for customers in a timely manner as well as maximized customer satisfaction by quickly addressing and resolving complaints with food or service. I was also tasked with completing opening, closing, and shift change tasks to promote efficiency in a facility that serves over 1000 guests daily.

Was in charge of managing a team of employees, and ensured all events at the venue ran smoothly. Supported events execution and venue set up and tear down. Helped interview clients to understand their event vision, establish budgets, and determine timelines for over 30 events over the course of the summer.

In this role I utilized Microsoft Excel on a daily basis to input and compile company data, participated in compliance recordkeeping activities, processed data and sent weekly reports to all departments of the company, worked on maintaining hundreds of vendor files and entered invoices into SAP
