Manage the District's Title VI regulatory compliance program. We perform equity analyses on our service and fare changes, provide language assistance measures to community members who don't read, write, or speak English very well, and design public participation tools and strategies. In addition, I work with other departments across BART to build on this compliance framework to develop racial and social equity evaluation mechanisms, as well as strategies to mitigate disparate impacts and address inequities in our service.

I concurrently served as the Equity Manager for the Link21 Program, the long-range planning effort to design the next rail crossing of the San Francisco Bay. In this role, I collaborated with a diverse consultant team to define the Program's Priority Populations, design and implement equitable community engagement and partnership strategies, and review all work products for bias, discrimination, and/or risks of inequitable outcomes. With a deep commitment to social justice, I believe that all major infrastructure projects have a responsibility to not only anticipate inequitable outcomes but proactively leverage public investments of this scale to advance reparative projects designed to meet the needs of our most impacted community members.

As a Senior Analyst, I created and implemented the data analytics to evaluate the equity of service and fare changes, project siting, and public engagement strategies. I drafted reports to the FTA, BART Board of Directors, and executive staff, and served as the staff liaison to the District's Title VI and Environmental Justice and Limited English Proficiency Advisory Committees.I was a member of the Government Alliance on Racial Equity's Introductory Northern California Cohort, where we received robust training on racial equity analysis and action planning. I now serve on the District's Racial Equity Task Force to implement the strategies we learned as part of this training, as well as emerging practices.
