Emily B is a music artist and classically trained musician, releasing music in many genres including pop, R'n'B, jazz, blues, dance, drum and bass, disco, triphop & reggae. Not only a singer, Emily B also plays saxophone, piano and many other instruments. She is a sound engineer and trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Diploma in Music Technology and The Round House Studios in Farringdon, London. Emily B duetted with Dennis from Musical Youth on a version of ‘Pass The Dutchie’. If you recall the original ‘Pass The Dutchie’ was number 1 in several countries around the world. Emily B has a strong online fanbase following across her platforms and has gained support and airplay from several radio stations in the UK, Ireland and abroad including BBC Radio 1 Xtra, BBC Introducing, BBC Oxford, BBC 6 Tom Robinson's show and interviews at BBC Three Counties Radio. Some of Emily B's have also been used on episodes of Channel 4's Hollyoaks. After finally breaking away from record labels that did not put the time, effort or promotion into her, Emily B decided to walk away from all that negativity. She is now under new management - ‘Thirst Light Springer’ who’s allowing her to express herself musically in many different ways from jazz to rock, pop and dance music and not taking away her name on the tracks to keep her as an unknown. The up and coming track ‘Got To Get Your Own’ is Emily B’s spiritual come back into the music industry as herself Emily B.For more info: www.iamemilymusic.com

Studio ManagerThe Sound Cube Nov 2004 - Dec 2014Over the last ten years I have built a successful business providing professional recording studio facilities. Studio customers range from instrumentalists, bands, vocalists and voice-overs, catering for people from all walks of life including aspiring performers from London musicals and performing arts colleges. The studio offers 2 hour hosted children’s party sessions, including both sound and video recording; amongst many others these have attracted a number of celebrity offspring. Completing each session has taught me to provide originality and quality whilst successfully meeting deadlines.I am responsible for all aspects of the business:• Delivering great customer service, ensuring everyone is made to feel special• Day to day running of a busy studio, reception/front of house, taking bookings and dealing with enquiries• Managing 6 – 8 staff, organising rotas, calculating wages, training in general administration• Training staff in basic sound recording using 4 x microphones recording on Logic Pro and Macintosh computer, how to use the mixing desk, and use of the video camera and media players• Marketing, promotions, competitors• Coaching singers and instrumentalists, choreographing sessions and teaching dance routines, hosting children’s birthday party sessions and looking after parents and all their needs.• Recording/sound engineering all sessions from groups of up to 16 children or adults, audio editing and mixing using Apple Macs, Logic Pro, Mackie d8b 96-track mixing desk.• Video editing and production using Sony Vegas Software and Final Cut Express.
