Throughout my tenure at Waverley Care, I successfully produced short, snappy copy and long-form blog articles for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Utilising tools like Canva, I developed visually appealing graphics that effectively communicated the organisation's message and wrote briefs for with videographers to create engaging video content.To create emotionally impactful content, I collaborated closely with service users, staff, and volunteers, collecting, and sharing their stories to highlight the significance of Waverley Care's work. By building strong relationships with different stakeholders, I was able to present their stories respectfully and effectively engage the audience.I was also responsible for composing persuasive emails using Mailchimp, including the monthly e-newsletter which included information on latest news, events, and ways to get involved. I consistently crafted compelling calls to action tailored to different target audiences successfully motivating them to participate in actions such as donating, volunteering, and applying for jobs.I also maintained websites hosted on WordPress. This includes keeping information up-to-date and creating engaging content. During the creation of Waverley Care’s newly launched website, I successfully wrote copy and created media content for use across the website and implemented my knowledge of SEO to optimise this content for improved visibility and engagement.Furthermore, collecting and analysing monthly social media, website, and email analytics was an integral part my role. By assessing the data, I ensured the development of effective social media strategies, suggested improvements to enhance interactions with target audiences through e-mail, and provided recommendations for enhancing website functionality and user engagement.

I completed a nine-month European Solidarity Corps Exchange at Društvo DIH, an LGBTQIA+ NGO based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. My tasks included the planning and hosting of community events aimed at LGBTQIA+ individuals, both educational and social. The largest event organised was a three-day camp focused on activism. I also travelled around smaller Slovenian towns providing education about LGBTQIA+ topics, and support to the local community. My main role was as social media manager, which entailed producing and posting content for Facebook and Instagram, tracking analytics, and engaging with current and potential users. In this role, I managed a Social Media Team, comprised of six people, by holding semi-regular meetings, devising guidelines for posting and engagement, and outlining monthly content schedules. As part of the exchange I have also learned some basic Slovene.

I acted as both a teacher and a teaching assistant, teaching from both inside the pool and from the poolside. I was responsible for preparing my own lesson plans, and for ensuring the safety of my students while in the water.
