    Discovery Park’s Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship is Purdue University’s gateway for innovation and entrepreneurship on campus. It houses a number of programs and competitions for student and faculty entrepreneurs designed to encourage innovation and discover big ideas that have potential to benefit society. My role at the Center involves being the Program Coordinator for our annual Business Model Competition, Pitch School, and our J-1 Visa Program. I teach bi-weekly workshops to 100+ students registered for our business model competition, focused on customer discovery and business model generation. I provide guidance to student entrepreneurs through weekly office hours sessions related to the competition. My role also involves managing the logistics and operations of the competition, connecting with partners both on-campus and off-campus. Our Pitch School program allows founders to practice their investor pitch to a panel of judges focused on providing valuable feedback to improve the pitch for greater success. My role in this is to schedule the session and find feedback panel members relevant to the industry the startup is in. Finally, I manage our J-1 Entrepreneurial Visa Program that allows startup founders to focus on the ideation and customer discovery phase. I manage the screening of individuals to determine if they fit the program requirements, and then guide them through the process of applying for their J-1 Visa and remaining compliant with program rules. Additionally, I manage the marketing and communication of all BDMCE's programs internally across the University and externally to alumni and community partners. I manage a team of undergraduate marketing interns that run our social media, e-mail newsletter, and produce marketing materials. I also provide administrative and operational support to all BDMCE programs, including the Faculty Entrepreneurial Learning Academy.
