When I started at The Car Park, my responsibilities included assisting with revenue reconciliation, account reconciliation, and bank account reconciliation. It was intended to be a temporary position that would only last a few weeks. As I finished assignments, I offered to assist with other time-sensitive projects. At the end of April, one of my colleagues left and I took on her tasks of posting customer payments, creating invoices, assisting with additional bank reconciliations, resolving customer questions and concerns, and running automatic payment drafts every month. In July, I was assigned to take over an event billing audit for our extensive event schedule in North Carolina. Then, in August, I was given the opportunity to manage two bank reconciliations with minimal supervision.

From October 2022-June 2023, I was one of 16 temps for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), working with tenants and landlords to allocate government funds. I kept track of up to 80 cases at a time and worked one-on-one with every tenant to make sure they fit the qualifications for assistance. After ERAP ended, the Housing Authorities brought me on to another position within the agency. As an Eligibility Specialist, I processed applications for the Section 8 program, collected additional documentation as needed, and determined eligibility based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Due to there being three of us in the eligibility department, there weren’t always things to do. During my down time, I assisted our accountants with filing documents, Section 8 Housing Representatives with locating documents in large files, and the front desk with mail, making copies, and face-to-face customer interactions.

I started at RM Mechanical as a temp with only a few responsibilities. I answered the phone, pulled purchase orders, and managed the timecards every week for our thirty service technicians. After two weeks, I offered to help with the department’s billing because I like to be actively engaged while I’m at work. Within a few months, I had learned the process well enough to write the billing manual for the department’s future employees. I also quickly became the person other employees came to for questions because I had well-rounded intel and could get information quickly.

Lead a team of 6 baristas for a Starbucks store located inside Fred Meyer. Responsibilities included preparation of the staffing schedule, placement of product orders, inventory management and support of the barista staff. Earned a Barista Trainer certification and played a key role in doubling the store’s customer service score from 25 to 50.

After five years of working at the Great Harvest in Meridian, the owners asked me to be the manager over at their store in Eagle. I saw this as an opportunity to develop my leadership skills, so I accepted the position. I made sandwiches, filled and delivered catering orders, sliced and bagged bread, frosted cookies, placed orders for everything we did not make in store, properly trained and supervised all 16+ store employees, reconciled tills every morning, made cash deposits, communicated the needs of the store directly with the owners, and resolved any customer concerns in a positive manner so they leave the store happy. As I grew more comfortable with the position, I asked the owners if I could take on more responsibility. I began preparing the staffing schedule, approving time off requests and shift changes, coordinating social media posts, and was entrusted with baking bread in our pastry oven when the large ovens in the other bakery were malfunctioning.
