-Drive sales of Medline patient handling and safety products, including patient lifts, glide sheets, gait belts and stretchers-Engineer effective and profitable new solutions to commonly encountered handling challenges, improving aspects such as stretcher steering-Negotiate pricing contracts with 10+ international and domestic manufacturers who distribute through Medline within patient lifting and safety categories-Manage nationwide inventory, including backorders and surpluses, for 200+ SKUs within the patient lifting and safety categories

-Work with 10+ factories in China to resolve manufacturing defects via immediate reworks and long-term root cause analyses-Compile quarterly reports aggregating, trending, and prioritizing complaints on orthopedic softgoods and crutches-Interact with customers and product managers to resolve field complaints through thorough investigation and subsequent process analysis as required-Partner with fellow engineering associate to supervise intern working to revise overseas inspection documents for 6+ product lines

-Design and submit patent for redesign of a pediatric wheelchair leg rest quick-release device-Utilize test equipment to determine yield strength of Medline walkers, slings, and reachers-Address defects with multiple manufacturers through Supplier Corrective Action Reports-Review and document 20-25 returned samples/day for potential manufacturing defects

-Create and test an electromagnet designed to pick up a specified number of metal parts-Implement use of assistive device in assembly line processes at a local non-profit agency-Earn $400 of funding for project through the NISH/DEED Financial Assistance Program
