In my current roles as Deputy Clerk and Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Planner, I provide customer service to Township residents, assist in the management and coordination of the election process for all elections with the Township, lead communications efforts on the website, social media and Township newsletter, and perform a wide.

I manage the farmers market in Texas Township, which features more than 30 local farmers and food businesses each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., May 21 through October 22, 2011. Our market exists to create a sense of community for Texas Township and surrounding areas; promote local businesses and create economic development around foods that are grown.

• Develop and distribute news releases and other media from the organization and program managers on MIFFS' events, opportunities and successes
• Compile and write articles for, layout and edit the MIFFS MEMO 16 to 20-page quarterly newsletter, MIFFS Minute monthly e-newsletter, and the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) monthly e-newsletter
• Update, maintain and create content for the MIFFS website, www.miffs.org
• Promote opportunities for small and mid-size family farmers through online and print media, including flyers, brochures and posters
• Serve on the Michigan Family Farms Conference Planning Committee, the MIFFS Event Planning Committee and MIFFS Membership Committee

• Edited and updated the Michigan Agriscience and Natural Resources Education Web site to offer curriculum to agriscience teachers
• Developed communications, leadership and animal science curriculum for agriscience teachers
