I have been with CCHE since 2002, becoming a Principal Investigator in 2010 and managing CCHE’s operational and development systems since 2011. I bring 14 years of evaluation consulting experience in a broad range of public health topics using mixed-methods designs and a developmental approach. My experience has focused on evaluation of initiatives that target the social determinants of health, community health initiatives focused on policy and systems change, and impact evaluations of philanthropic grantmaking portfolios to inform strategic planning. I directed the national evaluation of Health Impact Assessments funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). I currently direct the evaluation for the Kresge Foundation’s Healthy Futures Fund, which finances built environment projects that co-locate Federally Qualified Health Centers with non-clinical services that target the social determinants of health, and evaluation of Passion for Produce, a program of Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County. I have led evaluations and managed evaluation teams for a diverse range of clients including Kaiser Permanente, Capital Impact Partners, Northwest Tribes, Public Health–Seattle & King County, the American Cancer Society, and the Northwest Health Foundation. I'm passionate about working with foundations, health organizations, and government agencies to help them achieve their goals, through improvement-driven evaluation that informs strategic planning.
