Volunteer trainer in the Trainer Corps deliver the NAFSA Core Education Program Workshops at various events, programs, meetings, and conferences throughout the year.

Volunteer leader role which supports chair-elect cohort in strategic assessment of regional strengths and opportunities, drafting of regional work plans, and preparation for chair year. Continues to coach cohort for 6 months of chair year.

Acts as Responsible Officer (RO) for J-1 Exchange Visitor Program Consortium and ensures compliance with J-1 federal regulations including maintaining valid SEVIS designation. Processes immigration document services including initial and transfer DS-2019s, employment authorizations, document updates (e.g., extensions) for initial/active J-1 students and scholars. Senior officer at SUNY system administration responsible for monitoring visa and related immigration regulations. Provides general advice and referral for SUNY campuses on non-immigrant and immigrant visa categories as well as consultation and professional development opportunities. Convenes SUNY colleagues annually for meeting opportunities to discuss updates and best practices for professional development.

Served as Chair Elect, Chair and Past Chair in volunteer leadership role. Main responsibilities included supporting regional growth in membership, professional development opportunities and working with other volunteer leaders to organize the yearly regional conference.

Served as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO) for SEVIS and ensures compliance with F-1 and J-1 federal regulations including maintaining valid SEVIS certification. Provided immigration document services including initial and transfer I-20s/ DS-2019s, employment authorizations (CPT, OPT, AT), document updates (e.g., extensions) for initial/active F-1 &J-1 students. Coordinated the collection and maintenance of international student & scholar records. Advised students about study abroad opportunities and preparations for studying abroad. Maintained an ESF International Student webpage and an ESF Study Abroad webpage. Provided international student and scholar orientations and workshops on various topics including international student employment, study abroad planning, and international program planning.

Ensured university compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements, documenting SEVIS reporting procedures, troubleshooting SEVIS and SEVIS compliance software, specifically Sunapsis alerts. Supported immigration matters for the University at Buffalo's nearly 5,000 F-1 and J-1 students, through advising, covering walk-in service area and follow-up communication with students affected by immigration issues and personal concerns, including change of status and reinstatement. Assisted with International Student Orientation, International Education Week, International Student Mentoring Program, Tax Assistance workshops and other cultural activities. Created F-1 and J-1 immigration documents for current F-1 students and initial J-1 exchange students and J-1 interns. Managed multiple tasks with deadlines simultaneously to stay in line with federal regulations.

Volunteer leader in charge of conference planning with the support of the Region X team and chair stream leadership.

Served as DSO and maintained SEVIS records and immigration processing for F-1 benefits including program extension, transfers, change in major. Advised international students on immigration, personal and cultural concerns. Organized and maintained 15-20 Faculty-Led Off-Campus January Term programs and responsible for 1 million dollar budget. Planned International Student Orientations, Study Abroad Fairs and other programming activities to support new and current international students and bring intercultural awareness to campus. Maintained International Student Center website, CINTAX program, listserv, passport photos. Processed F-1 immigration documents, student work authorizations, and reservations.
