With nearly two decades of experience supporting people in Oregon with intellectual and developmental disabilities, I am a dedicated advocate committed to driving systemic change and aligning system needs with human needs.As a Charting the LifeCourse™ Ambassador, I have led transformative initiatives, including developing and training the Charting The LifeCourse™ Training Series for hundreds of Service Coordinators and Personal Agents in Oregon and serving as Project Manager for The ISP Redesign Project with The Arc Oregon from July 2023 to June 2024.I am skilled in strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, training, and successfully integrating person-centered and trauma-informed practices into projects, policies, and community engagement efforts. My focus is on driving meaningful outcomes, particularly for Oregon’s underrepresented communities.My extensive experience includes roles as a Service Coordinator at Marion County Health and Human Services and as a Behavior Consultant with Shangri-La, an Oregon non-profit. At Marion County, I worked directly with families and children receiving support from I/DD Services, focusing on full life planning in foster homes, which sparked my commitment to advocating for systemic change and equity in service delivery.My passion for advocacy has consistently driven me to serve children and adults with disabilities in various home and community-based settings. My deep understanding of case management practices and the impact of policies on the lives of people with disabilities in Oregon stems from my direct work with children in foster care and my role as Project Manager for the ISP Redesign Project at The Arc Oregon.I have been instrumental in analyzing and identifying gaps in the ISP planning process and advocating for policy changes to promote equitable and person-centered support. I am driven by a mission to bridge the gap between current Oregon policies and the goal of infusing trauma-informed and culturally responsive values into new policies, Oregon Administrative Rules, and statewide support systems.For me, inclusivity means actively working to remove barriers to access and promote equitable practices, especially for underrepresented communities in Oregon. I am dedicated to collaborating with community partners at all levels to promote an inclusive case management system that aligns with the expressed needs of the community, ensuring accessibility, and continuing a trajectory that aligns with my personal values and those of ODHS and ODDS.
