I am currently employed by AtkinsRéalis and based at Connect Plus Services in Dartford. They construct, design, maintain and operate the M25 motorway on behalf of National Highways. The M25 is one of the busiest motorways in Europe and undoubtedly one of the most significant roads in the UK. It is the heart of the UK’s network connecting London and the UK with the rest of the world, via the airports and ports. I have proficient use in the ESRI platform. As a GIS specialist, I am an administrator to our ArcGIS Online organisation. I build Web Applications/Experience Builder, Maps, Dashboards and Mobile Applications on Field Maps and Survey123 for various departments across the business. I also have knowledge of both ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS desktop and QGIS, for analysis of various datasets for asset management and operations and maintenance of the highway infrastructures.My previous position in the environmental team allowed me to work on exciting upcoming projects, developing the infrastructure whilst protecting our environment. I gained experiencing in screening and scoping Environmental Impact Assessments in both renewal and improvement schemes around the networks. I am also the administrator of our environment GIS (EnvIS). This is a Geodatabase within our SQL Server. I capture, store, analyse and manage various data sets, including: grassland and vegetation conditions, air quality results, protected, invasive and injurious species and many more. I also build and develop maps and apps to assist with the teams needs which is constantly evolving. I undertook biannual environmental audits across our seven depots and various operational construction sites, in conjunction with our ISO 14001 certification. Each year, as part of the MOEMP submission, I will produce the annual Air Quality Management Plan. This includes the current procedure, analysis and results of the air quality at 50 locations around our operational boundary. I organised our environmental forum, where we discussed our soft estate management and environmental challenges to our stakeholders, such as Highways England, Environment Agency, Wildlife Trust and Local Authorities.Out of work, I am passionate about mindfulness. I understand the importance of taking 10 minutes out of a busy work schedule to focus on relaxing. I have undertaken a Mindfulness course; Being present, lead by the Mindfulness Association. It aims to enable participants to have a healthy and balanced lifestyle with many benefits.
