I assist graduate and Ph.D. students with various research projects by conducting safe and ethical research in a laboratory using advanced research equipment. I have also written numerous abstracts regarding topics within the paleoclimatology field. I have given poster presentations and formal talks regarding my research at various conferences and symposiums, including the Geological Society of America 2022 Northeastern Section Meeting.

As a GS-LSAMP Research Scholar, I am responsible for completing an average of 3-4 hours of research per week. I am currently reconstructing the paleoclimatology of the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum using carbon isotopes of black carbon and pollen. I will present this research at Montclair State University as well as at the annual GS-LSAMP/NNJ-B2B STEM Research Conference.

As an intern for the CSAM Faculty-Student Summer Research Program, I work under my research mentor's guidance for an average of 32 hours a week over the course of 8 weeks. I will receive further laboratory safety training, including hydrofluoric acid (HF) training. I will also attend research talks and a minimum of two professional development sessions. This experience allows me to collect further pollen isotope data from the Paleocene-Eocene thermal maximum and explore new laboratory procedures. After the program's conclusion, I will present my findings at a College of Science and Mathematics research event early in the Fall 2023 Semester.

While participating in the Fall 2022 Faculty-Student Research Program, I started my own research project where I complete a paleoclimate reconstruction of the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum using carbon isotopes of black carbon and pollen. While the project was in its initial stages during this time, I completed numerous literature reviews and investigated the best pollen-removal tactic. I will be presenting my findings at an upcoming symposium.

While working as an intern for the CSAM Faculty-Student Summer Research Program, I worked under my research mentor's guidance for an average of 32 hours a week. During this experience, I received laboratory safety training and attended weekly professional development meetings to further my science skills. After the program concluded, I presented my formal research findings at the college's CSAM Faculty-Student Summer Research Program seminar.

I gave tours of Montclair State University to prospective students. During my tours, I detailed the university's numerous academic programs and registration/ housing information. I performed traditional office maintenance duties, such as data entry and answering phone calls. I also assisted with special events, such as open houses.
