Performed a retrospective chart analysis of neonates in the RUMC NICU born between January 2017 and March 2019 to compare the weight, length, and head circumference growth velocity in neonates fed either a hydrolyzed or non-hydrolyzed fortifier.Investigated if the provision of the hydrolyzed protein fortifier has decreased the use of modular products such as liquid protein and medium chain triglycerides in the NICU, thus determining its cost-effectiveness.

Performed a retrospective chart analysis of patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea undergoing Drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) at RUMC between 2016 and 2018 to compare pre-operation airway assessments performed by anesthesia to DISE results.Conducted statistical analysis demonstrating that anesthesia airway assessment algorithms and physical exam findings do not correlate well with sleep endoscopy findings, thus confirming that DISE remains the gold standard for evaluating the airway of Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients.Assisted in the writing of the research manuscript, which was later published in the American Journal of Otolaryngology and presented at the 2019 American Academy of Otolaryngology Annual Meeting.

Studied the use of nanopeptides synthesized in the Argonne National Laboratory to deliver antibiotics non-invasively across the tympanic membrane as an alternative to the surgical placement of tympanostomy tubes for children who suffer from chronic otitis media.Performed ex vivo cellular studies to determine the viability and toxicity profile of the antibiotic-loaded nanopeptide.Awarded Rush Dean's Research Fellowship Award and Alumni Association Scholar in the summer of 2018 for my work on this project.

Awarded the Genomics Education Partnership Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (GEP-SURF).Studied the causes of genome silencing and differential gene expression within various Drosophila species.
