  This position involves responsibility for the planning, design,development, testing or evaluation of electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation systemsfor the acquisition and reduction of experimental data and the control of process systems, experimentaltest articles and facilities.Includes managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing professional engineeringand scientific work concerned with:- utilizing and exploring electrical and electronic phenomena and the motion, emissions, conduction, andbehavior of electrical energy currents;- designing electrical equipment, components, or systems; and- generating and transmitting electrical energy in an efficient manner.Plans, designs, develops, tests or evaluates electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation systems for the acquisition and reduction of experimental data and the control of process systems,experimental test articles and facilities. The equipment and systems are integrated or associated withresearch testing in facilities such as wind tunnels, test stands, scientific laboratories, space environmentchambers, launch and ground support equipment, specialized test systems, flight systems, and datagathering facilities. Typical equipment includes special instrumentation, transducers, digital and analogcontrol systems, computer equipment, automated computer controlled systems and test equipment.Duties may include one or more of the following:-Designs, develops or integrates specialized instrumentation, control or data acquisition systems;-Procures, checks out and accepts equipment and systems;-Develops and manages procedures, techniques, and methods to optimize experimental testing;-Modifies test article or facility electrical or electronic systems to fulfill test requirements; and/or-Analyzes and validates experimental test data.
