Information security is my job as well as my hobby. I am passionate, resourceful, and eager to learn. I've given talks at my local InfoSec meetup groups, Women in Security KC, SecKC and ISC(2). I have over three years of experience on the sales side of information security for TEKsystems, an IT services company and the nation's leading staffing firm. While at TEKsystems, I spent my time working within the Kansas City InfoSec community and becoming an expert on the market and best practices. I took it upon myself to understand InfoSec concepts to be a better partner to my customers. In 2016, I was voted "Rookie of the Year" by my peers for my commitment and success in my role. I am currently a Cyber Security Analyst on the Product Security team at ScriptPro. I am responsible for reporting, auditing, contract reviews, research, project management, and various operational tasks. I am a jack of all trades and am learning new security concepts everyday. I passed my Security+ in July 2018, with hopes to gain enough experience for a PMP and/or CISSP in the future. I am involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of KC and have been matched with my little sister for over a year. I volunteer weekly with Lead to Read KC. I also coach club volleyball for KC Power and assist with volleyball clinics in the fall. In my free time I love spending time with my husband, cooking, reading, watching the Chiefs and Royals, and working out.
