Hello, My name is Emily. I currently serve as a Licensed Masters level Therapist for both Assisted Outpatient and Jail Diversion programs at Wellstone, Inc. I provide individual therapy services for clients who have been involuntarily committed to a behavioral health ward on a court-ordered outpatient basis for 5 months. I completed my graduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University in 2022. I went straight into my Master's after I received my Bachelor's of Social Work with a minor in Psychology. With my undergraduate degree, I interned at the Davidson County Mental Health and Veterans Court. This internship taught me case management and quality communication with defendants. My graduate internship took place at The Tennessee Office of The Post-Conviction Defender. Here, I learned how vital it is to understand mental health in capital criminals as well as childhood experiences and adolescent development. Upon graduating with my Master's, I worked as a Family Service Worker with Youth Villages in Nashville, TN. At YV, I provided Case Management for foster children and juvenile delinquents in assistance with TN DCS. I obtained my Masters Licensure in 2024 and am working to obtain to LICSW. My focus is to assist those who struggle with mental health through the use of empathy and culturally competent communication in a forensic setting.
