I had a part-time job during my senior year of high school at a small retail store in my hometown called Bobbi + Bricka Boutique. I would work over the summer along with afterschool shifts where I would work for five hours maintaining the store and helping customers find the perfect clothing item. • Worked a register during long and busy shifts by counting the cash and checking out customers as the only worker on the shift making sure everything around the store was running smoothly and no items were being stolen. • Helped customers find certain items and made them feel comfortable in the store by talking to them and always being available if they had any questions to build relationships with them so they would hopefully shop at the store again. • Cleaned the store by wiping down displays and windows, along with vacuuming the carpet daily to make the store look the best that it could be.

In my senior year of high school, I was elected president of our Riley Dance Marathon and had the opportunity of raising money for the kids. This was the fourth year of the marathon so the committee was still trying to get enough recognition around the community. • Lead the club through virtual and in-person meetings discussing our plans for each week leading up to the dance marathon and making plans as to how we wanted to accomplish our goal. • Fundraised over ten thousand dollars through selling gift baskets, and doing 'miracle minutes" at sporting events, and teacher competitions for the children at Riley to directly benefit the palliative care center and magic castle cart. • Engaged the student body in activities by having them participate in fundraisers and spirit weeks throughout the year to raise awareness of Riley Children’s Hospital so they would make a personal connection and be willing to donate more.
