During the course of studying my Psychology degree, I worked alongside at Sainburys, this enabled me to have to prioritise my workload but also allowed me to remain independent and earn my own wage. It also gave me experience in the retail sector and allowed me to improve my customer service skills. Over the three years of studying my degree, I have developed and learnt a lot of transferable skills, these include a clear understanding of psychological, emotional, cognitive and social determinants of behavior which not only benefits me in my current job, but also any future job I may have. I also have both familiarity and experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, by doing various research projects over my three years and also completing and creating my own research for my final year dissertation. I also general research skills which include database searching, conducting literature reviews for projects and also synthesizing and interpreting large amounts of information. Throughout my degree teamwork and communication played a huge part, with having to work regularly in groups for presentations for different modules.
