I am a graduate from Dartmouth College where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences and Environmental Earth Sciences with Honors. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Fluid Mechanics at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth. In my time at Dartmouth, I have developed a wide range of research experience that has influenced my passion for atmospheric, ocean, and ice research. These research experiences have also enhanced my technical skills on programs such as Python, Matlab, QGIS, ANSYS Fluent, Excel, SolidWorks, Life Cycle Assessment software, and research paper writing. My goal as a student is to formulate technical engineering skills that transcend across different disciplines because I believe that an interdisciplinary approach to learning is important when working to answer some of the most pressing issues, such as climate change.

To do this, I am analyzing climate model simulations and their response to changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations in an effort to assess the effect that changes in moisture have on future drought-risks in North America. I use the data collected by model experiments from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6), the latest phase of a collaborative framework that works to improve climate models and their assessment of climate change. With these model experiments, I will then perform a model-by-model analysis using Python to determine how to simulate seasonal-scale droughts for selected North American drought events. Show less -
