As a Staff Development Coordinator at INALLIANCE, a non-profit organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, I have been facilitating training classes on various topics for direct support professionals for over eight years. I have a certification in Situational Leadership: Building Leaders, which enables me to train other trainers and leaders in our organization. I also have a certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, which helps me to teach staff how to prevent and manage challenging behaviors and situations. I coordinate and present skill development courses that address the identified needs and gaps of our staff, using surveys, interviews, and focus groups. I am passionate about improving the quality of services and enhancing the skills and knowledge of our staff, who are the backbone of our organization. In addition to my staff development role, I am a skilled artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, and I enjoy creating works in any medium.
