- Research in forest community dynamics, seedling recruitment in controlled burns and predator exclusion areas, and chemical defense mechanisms of biodiversity maintenance- Field responsibilities included working in teams in rugged terrain, identifying seedling and adult tree species for community censuses, and near-peer mentoring of local high school interns- Full-time during summer (May-August); part-time during fall and spring semesters
