For my co-op position at the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Arts I wore many hats. I spent a portion of my day managing the Art’s Instagram account, growing the following. This work included creating a schedule of content to post and taking the photos myself. Then I would spend the lunch hour at the desk for the Arts Undergraduate Academic Advising Office. Student’s would speak with me to schedule appointments with their Academic Advisor or to ask questions relating to the Art’s Faculty.I helped lead the Arts Ambassador team that consisted of volunteer Art’s students. We planned for special events such as UWaterloo’s Fall Open House. I also spent evenings calling prospective students who had been accepted to the University of Waterloo to answer any questions they might have about their possible future. Occasionally I would give tours of the Faculty of Arts to groups of students and parents.Finally, I created recruitment material such as promotional swag for events

The University of Waterloo’s University Relation’s team is dedicated to building strong connections with the public based on the University’s vision for innovation. My role during my time in the department was assisting in the communications that build those relationships.I regularly updated the main homepage of UWaterloo’s website and various microsites under the University Relations management. Accessibility and maintaining AODA standards was a very important aspect of my work. I took several courses offered by the university for Personal development on how to write for the web and improve accessibility. I worked on projects upgrading outdated, unresponsive microsites to the newer standard CMS UWaterloo offered. Google Analytics were used to improve user traffic and inventory web pages. My role also included editing templates for powerpoints and digital screens for event promotion. Finally, I also served as a Tech Support Assistant in the office. That work included helping coworkers with various computer, printer, or software issues.

The Co-operative Education and Career Action department at the University of Waterloo supports all students, postdoctoral, alumni and employees as they plan their career journey. My role in CECA was to market the benefits of UWaterloo’s services for co-operative education to employers. The University of Waterloo is known across the world for its co-op program and my work increased that brand salience.My daily responsibilities included updates on UWaterloo’s CECA website, I edited an annual report, and designed marketing materials. Maintaining brand guidelines was a large focus for this position.

Waterloo Independent Secondary School is a private international high school. During my time at WISS I managed all forms of digital communication including the website and social media pages. I also assisted with administrative duties such as booking appointments, phone calls, and student attendance.During events I would bring out my camera and take photos. My responsibilities included editing them and uploading to the different digital platforms to promote the school. A portion of my daily activities included designing print media to be used as advertisement.In 2016, WISS began preparation for launching the Galt Christian High School Program. I created the logo, promotional material, and social media pages for the program.
