In addition to my previous duties as a Research Specialist, Lead, I assist with grant proposal preparation and submission, annual grant reports, and grant administration for the NIH, NSF, USDA, and ARO, including significant experience with FastLane and Grants.gov. I edit and submit co-authored manuscripts for our lab group. I collaborate with the Emory Physics Department on bee foraging enclosure design, including Arduino code, 3D printing artificial flowers, microdroplet beam breaker measurements, and RFID tagging. I applied for and received Emory Green Labs certification and was awarded the 2016 Green Lab Incentive Fund grant.

In addition to my former duties as a Research Specialist, I also run the lab outreach program, including planting educational pollinator gardens at local schools, attending science fairs, training high school students to work in the lab, and organizing hands on pollinator activities at local elementary and middle schools. I organize and identify bees and other pollinator specimens from the American southeast, Equador, and the Rocky Mountains. I use molecular genetics techniques for a pollen DNA barcoding project, including: qPCR, PCR (with indices), DNA isolations, gel electrophoresis, PCR purification. I maintain a DNA metabarcoding bioinformatics pipeline.

I manage the day-to-day operations in the Brosi Lab, including running experiments, administering grants, maintaining lab supplies and inventory, designing and maintaining the lab website, and coordinating with Emory's EHSO department. I supervise and train undergraduate students in pollen and bee identification, plant ovule evaluation, bee foraging experiments, and honey bee and bumble bee colony maintenance.

Wrote grants, designed and implemented lab- and field-based experiments, presented extension, outreach, and professional talks, negotiated and communicated with industry partners, directly supervised student technicians, mentored undergraduates, assisted in undergraduate course.

Maintained black cutworm, fall armyworm, and parasitic wasp colonies, identified pitfall trap samples to order, identified lepidopteran larvae to instar, assisted in set up and data collection of graduate student research projects, supervised visiting undergraduate French intern.
