Emily Dotson (she/her) is a driven and self motivated Black student and former athlete-self committed to community leadership. Emily currently a Junior, currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Fitness Specialization and a minor in Psychology at San Diego State University, Emily is dedicated to leveraging her education and athletic background to empower individuals in athletic and exercise nutritional science settings. She is committed to helping others overcome mental and physical barriers, foster holistic development, and enhance sports performance.Alongside the academic pursuit, she is also involved in the Afrikan Student Union serving as the Public Relations Chair. Actively engaged in promoting cultural awareness and fostering a supportive community environment within the university. In addition, Emily is also an active member of the Mu Iota Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated serving as the Vice President and Social Media Chair contributing to the growth and impact of the sorority within the university and beyond through utilizing organizational skills.
