I am a Senior Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics major at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology looking for an internship for the summer of 2018. My favorite part about engineering is looking at systems, figuring out how things work, and collaborating with others to come up with creative solutions. I was an intern at Nidec: Merkle Korff during the summer of 2017 where I set up motors to be tested, ran tests, and wrote tear down reports to determine where the motor failed. I spent time in the lab and the manufacturing facility and was able to witness the manufacturing and testing process while learning more about motors and how they work. I hope to be able to expand on my current knowledge and gain experience on the design side of engineering. I am on the varsity cross country and track teams, I was the Outreach officer for the Society of Women Engineers club at Rose-Hulman from April 2017-April 2018, and I am currently the Treasurer for the Society of Women Engineers. I love running and encouraging children to pursue STEM related fields, and I hope to be able to continue to do both of these things in the future.
