Emerson National Hunger Fellow
- Drafted and edited the climate change, revenue, and reinvestment sections of the policy platform for the Center’s Putting Families First, Good Jobs for All Campaign.- Created a series of popular education trainings for staff and partners focused on the campaign policy recommendations. - Provided research support to the policy team and national campaign partners. Key projects focused best practices in Community Benefits Agreements and evolving a race and gender analysis with the Mass Incarceration Team.

Served as one of 16 Emerson National Hunger Fellows selected from a national applicant pool. The fellowship combines community-based work and national public policy experience. My two program placements are detailed separately.

- Helped develop the nascent Parent Engagement Institute by strengthening curriculum and developing materials for their nationally recognized leadership development model for community organizing and parent engagement in schools.- Researched and documented status of parent engagement funding in Illinois Public Schools, wrote a 15-page policy report.

- Managed all outreach efforts, specifically by building networks with 15+ partner organizations within the city and eight partner organizations in rural areas to maximize regional impact.
