During the two years I was with EyeCare Specialties I was recognized for my flexibility and split my time between two departments. A strength in multi-tasking and maintaining information confidentiality was a necessity in both departments.In the Business Finance Department I would greet patients upon arrival, check them in, and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data. I provided patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents. I also processed payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits. The insurance filing department at EyeCare Specialties relied on me to have entered accurate patient insurance information so claims could be processed efficiently. As a Communications Department team member I exercised my excellent phone etiquette by answering multi-line phones and either directed the caller to the appropriate party or handled the caller's needs myself. My responsibilities also included scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner, reminding patients of scheduled appointments
