The series drew upon Theatre of the Oppressed methodologies, including opportunities for audience members to use SMS and IVR to suggest plot and character developments that reflected the lived realities of the audience. Each radio drama episode (broadcast across Afghanistan on Radio Azadi) was followed by a discussion program that further probed themes in the drama. The research in Pakistan focused on local media reporting of political violence.
