Undocumented Women's Fund (UWF) is an organization led by immigrant women who are building a community care, resource mobilization, and organizing network to meet the needs and fight for the rights of immigrant women in New York City.

Collaborating with Dr. Cassie Landers at Columbia University and BRAC University to update the BRAC Institute of Educational Development masters program curriculum.

• Supports a joint initiative between the Care and Protection of Children (CPC) Learning Network and the Bank Information Center, seeking to strengthen the ability of the World Bank to prevent and respond to child sexual exploitation and abuse.• Conducted a preliminary desk review on research methods for working with mobile populations and people on the move as well as organizations and projects working along different transit migration routes, in order to support the Protected Passage project for children, adolescents and their families who are in migration in the Northern Triangle of Central America and Mexico.• Manages Teaching Assistant responsibilities for the Protecting Children in Humanitarian Settings Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)

• Conducted research on teacher professional development and play-based learning in East Africa with Dr. Mary Mendenhall and Dr. Vidur Chopra and a team of Teachers College researchers consulting the LEGO Foundation's Playful Learning in Crisis Settings (PLiCS) initiative. Included a desk-based review of 189 articles and 30 key informant interviews. • Was part of a research team for the Educational Leadership 2.0: Capturing Global Knowledge project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SPARK initiative) conducting a qualitative case study on school leadership in Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement to co-create a teaching case studies for school leaders.

• Published bi-monthly advocacy posts on refugee rights issues to spread awareness of innovative pathways for displaced populations. • Conducted outreach with other organizations to create partnerships that foster resettlement opportunities for refugees. • Provided ongoing mapping of all relocation pathways available for Syrian refugees, including scholarship opportunities, family reunification programs, private and community sponsorships, and humanitarian visas, globally.

• Part of a small team of Teachers College, Columbia University students to prepare data findings for Plan's technical staff in Nigeria and Finland. • Conducted qualitative and quantitative data analysis for a multisector needs assessment in Northeast Nigeria as part of Plan's ECHO grant proposal. • Assisted with the writing and copy-editing of the MSNA, the M&E plan, and other grant proposal documents.

• Conducted research on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on child protection programming in education in emergency settings. Produced an extensive literature review on the topic and created a companion guide as a Snapshot of Child Protection trends during COVID-19.

• Provided operational support for smooth implementation of the Fulbright program in compliance with sponsor requirements. • Implemented a streamlined, GDPR-compliant process for reviewing upwards of 30,000 grantee documents each year, which decreased processing time and enhanced communication with internal and external stakeholders. • Maintained data integrity with large datasets according to quality control procedures to meet system requirements. • Designed operations-related policy and procedures manuals and how-to guides, including designing and updating materials on department-wide procedures as needed. • Coordinated emergency management efforts across dozens of IIE administered scholarship programs to ensure the safety and protection of thousands of grantees during times of emergency, including COVID-19 program response.

• Conducted program support throughout the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program award cycle; onboarding participants upon arrival to the United States, communicating program updates to participants and planning program workshops. • Provided program support for the Junior Faculty Development Program, which specialized in cohorts of young professionals from Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq spending three months in U.S. institutions. • Supported emergency management training creation for Fulbright program advisors to ensure the safety and security of all participants through a system-tailored response and communication matrix. • Assisted with emergency management reporting for over 400 scholars during 2017 Hurricanes Harvey and Irma; compiled data on at-risk students and built alert lists to supply stakeholders with accurate and prompt updates.

• Provided administrative and communication support for U.S. government-sponsored student and scholar exchange programs. • Supported event planning for Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, entailing coordination with vendors, managing invitation lists, and assisting with booking travel for participants. • Coordinated meetings, drafted meeting agendas, and assisted with office space needs for the Inbound Advising department.

• Edited over a dozen proposals for humanitarian projects in Armenia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Iraq, Kenya and Lebanon prior to submission to donors at USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the Bureau of Refugees, Population, and Migration (BPRM) at the US State Department. • Conducted gender analysis of the Department of Humanitarian Response’s proposals to measure their capacity of creating transformative experiences for all children, while seeking spaces within the proposals which could use greater inclusivity. • Corresponded with Save the Children’s global offices to adjust project budgets throughout the duration of the project

• Coordinated with local leagues before the election in order to promote events that register people to vote across the United States. • Crafted online blogs as efforts to mobilize Americans to vote in the midterm elections. • Assisted with the maintenance of the League’s social media websites as well as researched and crafted blogs on restoring voter equality in America aimed to prevent voter discrimination by moving the Voting Rights Amendment Act forward in Congress. • Gained hands-on experience working with a non-partisan organization promoting women’s rights in public policy.
