I write pop-culture reviews for the Scottish Catholic Observer for publication online and in print.

Stella Mar Films is an independent film production company based in America. In their last film, Where There is Darkness, I was credited as a co-producer. The true crime documentary has already won a slew of awards and is being screened at numerous festivals and events across America, Europe and Australia.We are currently working on marketing and releasing the film whilst also beginning post-production on our next project, Cross Mountain. We are also working with global charity Mary's Meals and their avid supporter Gerard Butler to document the incredible work they do with some of the poorest children in the world. My role involves filming, editing, writing press releases, marketing, submitting to film festivals and raising awareness. Since starting with the company in May 2018 I have had the opportunity to join the team on several trips in the US and Europe. I joined the team in Florida to help with the last few stages of production and post-production of Where There is Darkness and I also travelled with the team to Michigan, Illinois, Washington, Texas, New York and Bosnia Herzegovina for screenings and marketing opportunities. Often working from home, this role has given me great experience of working independently and structuring my own work load. After my first trip, the team asked me to write a blog post about my experiences which I have added below.

I am part of a three-person marketing team focussed on promoting Youth 2000's annual Scottish event, Stronghold Festival. This year we decided to split from Youth 2000's own marketing, launching our own social media accounts to build a special, distinct brand for this unique event and to reach a new audience. My role involves creating new, eye-catching and informative video and photography content for social media. I am in-charge of coordinating filming and photography at related events to use for our own campaign and to spread the Youth 2000 brand. At the event in May I will be filming non-stop and interviewing attendees with the view to creating more promotional content for the following year.

Working with Mary’s Meals International over the summer was my first experience in a large office setting and I gained many useful administrative skills, as well as learning more about working as part of a team and collaborating with co-workers. Key duties and responsibilities:• Creating reports with detailed information and photographs to update donors on the schools they sponsor and to inform them about the work of Mary’s Meals.• Keeping accurate records to ensure that each donor received the correct report within the allotted time-frame. • Organising travel and visas for Mary’s Meals delegates and staff from all over the world.• Assisting with the logistical planning of the 2018 Mary’s Meals International Conference. I was responsible for helping organise conference venues, travel, accommodation, food, social events and conference resources for a large number of individuals from various countries. • Designing and Photoshopping designs for name badges for the conference.

My role was to write film and music reviews for the Strathclyde Telegraph which were published online and in print.

I serve customers in a shop that sells organic farm produce and in a hot food takeaway owned by the same business. I help customers find what they are looking for and make sure they are satisfied. I also look after my boss's three children one day a week.
