I am coordinating a research trial on the effectiveness of mindfulness and green space therapies on mental health. I design the study procedures, train lab assistants, write lab manuals, collect and analyze data, and will help prepare our findings for publication. In addition, I provide a large variety of administrative functions including designing and coordinating events for the Greater Williamsburg Area ParkRx Program, conducting relevant background research, creating awareness campaigns and collecting and analyzing data for umbrella projects.

Writing a weekly advice column for the College of William and Mary’s largest student newspaper allows me to discuss issues related to psychological, social and community well-being with insights from social science and popular culture to created a light-hearted, often sarcastic dialogue. I am responsible for the generation of ideas, writing, editing and creating original graphic images for production.

I compiled and analyzed a wide variety of data and research under Dr. Pasternack, a former Assistant Secretary at the DOE who is serving as an consultant for the state of Ohio concerning its provision of FAPE. To inform Dr. Pasternack’s reports, I have conducted extensive research and analyzed a diverse range of large district and state data sets using longitudinal and cross-sectional designs on special education funding, outcomes, and instructional quality. I create regular deliverables, perform editing services, and provide critique on market research material as well.

I am currently working as part of a research team lead by Professor Christopher Ball to study false memories. Our current project entails inducing false memories in participants with strong phobias. In the past, our team worked develop a clinical test of autobiographical memory performance. I have conducted literature reviews, developed several psychometric tests, conducted participant interviews, managed data and analyzed our results as part of these project.

I lead several projects in Dr. Lee Kirkpatrick’s lab, one aiming to establish hatred as a functionally distinct emotion from anger through content and factor analysis. Another is focused on establishing alternative theories of ego depletion through empirical research on undergraduates. Both projects require extensive theory and methodological design as well as literature reviews, psychometric design, and project management.

As a Fine Arts Model, I am responsible for a provide a crucial service to William and Mary's art program while maintaining both a high level of professionalism and adaptability. This position requires a high level of stamina and the ability to endure high physical discomfort. In addition, I must be able to interrupt the directions and be very responsive to feedback so I fully satisfy the needs of my clients.

As a full-time intern in the Human Resources Department for the local government of the City of Alexandria, I have worked closely with HR analysts, I/O psychologists, and various consultants to improve employee engagement and retention for the city's diverse workforce. My primary focus was in the training and professional development division of the department, so I worked extensively to mentor and facilitate the the internal training program and tuition reimbursement program. In addition, I assisted in projects related to compensation, benefits, and payroll. Of my many responsibilities, the most relevant were the organization of professionals development events, including a College Fair for city employees, research and report writing on topics concerning employee satisfaction and retention, database management, record management, and the clerical duties need to conduct the internal training program. For dedication, positive attitude and for going beyond the call of duty, I was awarded a recognition of excellency and I was warmly invited back by my wonderful HR family to work with them again during my winter break.
