My background as a director of C&C Gallery and Canvas & Cream has given me extensive experience of project management, operational organisation and working as a team.I pride myself in my excellent customer service skills. Being adept in client relations via effective liaison requires one to listen carefully to clients’ wishes, paying great attention to detail, so as to ensure I deliver what is needed and understand how to expand on a clients’ brief.In my role as Gallery director I have worked with a broad range of clients ranging from buyers purchasing small, affordable artworks up to collectors commissioning large scale professional exhibitions and individual art pieces. I have experience in project management, sales, customs, tax systems shipping and managing relationships with artists, curators, collectors and the public around exhibitions with value in excess of £100,000 both nationally and internationally. I have PA experience in handling three diaries at once, of other colleagues’ in alternative management and director roles to my own, supporting them 1:1 in their day to day organisation; including scheduling meetings (face to face and online), writing emails, customer relations, organising travel and accommodation, supporting them with social media and marketing etcI also have experience in the overall day to day management of three separate businesses (Contemporary Art Gallery, Art studios and Restaurant), including the supervision and training of eighteen members of staff, stock management and inventories, suppliers and pricing control, art handling, payrolls, bookkeeping, this required the construction and administration of management and organisational spreadsheets for rotas and other administrative tools, putting systems in place to ensure smooth running of operations. I was responsible for VIP investors and collectors; clientele liaison, initial contact, maintaining relations, welcoming, organising transport to and from the gallery and/or shows/art fairs, setting up 'Private view brunches' as well as celebratory dinners and drinks receptions. I thrive on watching portfolios expand and get a sense of personal satisfaction and achievement from seeing a company succeed.I work with professionalism and zeal for gaining new clientele, having built up a portfolio of my own clients for the gallery, balancing the fine line between social and professional relations with utmost delicacy to ensure permanent long-term alliances.
